For the first time in France, the following are brought together at a venue that is on a human scale and in a friendly atmosphere:

  • The whole added value chain: R&D, design, production, maintenance, services, training

Everybody involved in industry, whether visitor or exhibitor, can be sure of finding the product, equipment, know-how or solution at GLOBAL INDUSTRIE that they are searching for in order to improve any aspect of their processes from design to production and service.
An event that the industry and public authorities have been calling for years, it delivers enormous savings in time and investment and improvements in efficiency.

Strength in union

Welcomed by 96% of visitors and 88% of exhibitors at its launch, unparalleled in its extent, both in terms of its size and its scope, as well as its international reach, this mega event brings together four complementary shows, each of which is a leader in its field, whilst preserving their individual identities

THE international reference for subcontracting know-how

the show for the connected, collaborative and efficient smart factory

the major event for production technologies and equipment

the international show for working metal in sheets, coils, tubes and sections

Their coming together under the same banner has allowed each to multiply its impact by attracting visitors and exhibitors it had not previously reached – 52% of visitors to GLOBAL INDUSTRIE were new, as were 47% of exhibitors, resulting in overall growth whilst enabling each show to make an unprecedented professional, political and media splash.
A winning synergy, with visitors who were surveyed in 2018 having visited an average of two or three shows.

In 2019

GLOBAL INDUSTRIE will move to Lyon

Building on a success that was acclaimed in both France and abroad, GLOBAL INDUSTRIE is returning from 5th to 8th March 2019 and will be hosted this time by the Eurexpo Exhibition Centre in Lyon.

Lyon makes sense for a number of reasons:

  • Alternating with Paris every other year allows a substantial fresh pool of visitors and therefore business opportunities to be tapped into.
  • The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region is one of the EU’s most important in terms of area, population and the wealth that is generated there as a result of it strategic position at the crossroads of Europe, its proximity to major markets, its competitiveness clusters, its living environment, and its young, active and growing population.
  • INDUSTRIE was already being held every other year in Lyon with increasing success. In 2017 it attracted 24,934 visitors (+22%) and 1,006 exhibitors (+17%).

It is a major industrial region. Its industry generates 18% added value compared with 14% for mainland France as a whole and it is involved in a diverse array of activities, and in particular in semi-finished goods and equipment with a strong emphasis on exports. It has strengths in many cutting-edge areas such as: machines, digital, electronic components, energy, pharmaceuticals and medical technologies, screw cutting, rubber/tyres, plastics, eco-technologies … The Michelin Group, which has its corporate headquarters in Clermont-Ferrand, is the region’s leading employer.

It’s a not-to-be missed event

In the beginning was the Word…
of industry and politicians

GLOBAL INDUSTRIE was born out of this joint wish and has now been brought into being by GL events.
As the Industry of the Future redraws the industrial landscape and re-shuffles the pack, France holds a number of trump cards that could enable it to regain its leading position amongst major industrial powers. Industry but also Emmanuel Macron, who, in 2015, when he was the Minister of the Economy and Industry made the modernization of industry a national priority, called for the creation of a major European event focused on the future that would bring together the whole of industry. This has now come to pass with GLOBAL INDUSTRIE, following the acquisition in 2017 by GL events, they are now the organizers, of the MIDEST and TOLEXPO exhibitions.

Major figures from industry and French and international politics crowded its aisles, demonstrating the return of industry to the heart of France’s—and also Europe’s—economic concerns.
GLOBAL INDUSTRIE therefore takes its place as one of the first major events dedicated to the industry of the future in Europe.
